Heat Lamp on or off?

My chicks are just over 5 weeks old and I was planning to turn the heat lamp off at 6 weeks as per articles and advise I have read but my issue is its winter here and is getting as low as 2 to 3 degrees in the nights/early mornings. Should I leave it on until its not so cold? Also, we should be starting to get rain here in the next few weeks so it maybe colder.

Keep it on but watch the chicks if they are huddled together they are cold and if they are hiding in the corner the are to hot

They seem comfortable at the moment not huddled together but I have a door to where they sleep that I have left open a little so they can get air or come out if they need to.
