Well, I had a small flock then went out to Tractor Supply to buy feed and low and behold those little chicks where calling my name. So I bought a dozen.
My problem is that last night the spent the night in the bathtub with the heat lamp, but today I need to leave home for an extended period. I dont want to leave the heat lamp on due to fear it will melt my plastic type tub and catch fire.
Brooder will be done this evening. Do you think my babies will be ok without the lamp today? Weather is predicted to be in the mid 80's.

Not completely sure of their age. But since I pick them up at TSC last night, and around here they general sell out fast. I predict they are recently hatched to 2 weeks old.
