Just thought I'd add my 2 cents for what it's worth. I had a heat lamp in my coop for my babies who I had just moved in there. I had wood on top of the area they were enclosed in and almost burned my coop down! Thank God I didn't but I burned a hole in the wood covering their area. No more heat lamp. Lesson learned, luckily not the hard way.
