Heat plate

I have a heating plate from Premier 1 that I used for my chicks and I am wondering if they are safe for use with ducklings? So far I’ve only seen heat lamps used with ducklings and they make me nervous.

I think they should be safe as long as it is high enough for then to walk under. I personally just started using a home made mother hen pad. I love it they stay warm when they want to and walk out when they don't want it. I also like it because I used a old heating pad I had at home so it did not cost me anything.
