Normally, I do a lot of searching and researching, but I just came home to one of my 7 month old pullets (Salmon F) lying under an elevated nesting area (good breeze going under there), panting, and not willing to move on her own power. Heat index is triple digits, so I'm assuming heat stroke.
I brought her into the house and laid her in the tub, first lukewarm water, slowly getting up to cool (but not cold). Not submerged, just lying in some water, and splashing it on her. She is at least holding her head up now.
I have her on a towel out of the water now. What else can I do for her? Thanks!
