Normally, I do a lot of searching and researching, but I just came home to one of my 7 month old pullets (Salmon F) lying under an elevated nesting area (good breeze going under there), panting, and not willing to move on her own power. Heat index is triple digits, so I'm assuming heat stroke.

I brought her into the house and laid her in the tub, first lukewarm water, slowly getting up to cool (but not cold). Not submerged, just lying in some water, and splashing it on her. She is at least holding her head up now.

I have her on a towel out of the water now. What else can I do for her? Thanks!

Why do you want to delete a thread? How is she now? Try to get her to drink some water, preferably with electrolytes. I can give you some ideas for cooking the chicken area a bit, too. Even spraying the run with a hose to cool off the ground can help.

I've done a little more reading. I was a bit panicked when I created it. She is sitting up now, so she is slowly improving. She'll be in the house cooling off until she can get around on her own power again.
