I want to know before this winter, if chickens can use snow as a water source. In Wisconsin we sometimes get drifts above our heads. I am more than capable of getting a heated waterer, but I could save a little money if snow is an option.
P.s chickens first winter (my first chickens a swell)
I know that Pheasants can survive all winter just on snow. (My dad used to have a small game farm with geese pheasant quail etc)
