FYI - the Brinsea says it’s not for use below 50 degrees. I have my brooder in a cool (sub-50) garage so I got the 12x12 Premier with roost cone. So far it’s working great for 10 chicks that are now in their third week.
I bought the 12x12 from Rent a coop. I made a cardboard pyramid on top to keep the chicks off the top of it. Other than that, it kept 10 chicks at 95 degrees. Loved it!! The legs are adjustable so as they grow, you can raise it up their height.Hi!
Just looking for recommendations on a heating plate. Amazon has several different brands (Rent-a-coop, Brinsea, Rural 365) and sizes. Is there a brand you would recommend?
Also, the sizes seem to be as follows 10"x10" , 12x12, 16x16 etc. It says 10x10 will warm up to 15 chicks. Is this accurate?
Thanks!
