Heavy Duty Aviary Netting recommendations?

So I read this article and they mention some ideas. I wonder about the 45* fence topper.

Not sure it would work for 4’ fence but it generally stops climbing. I’m not familiar with bobcats though.

Interesting idea, that 45 degree addition. It's almost the mirror of skirting at the bottom. Should prevent climbing, but not so much stop one from jumping clear over. But, I suspect most things that can jump would not leap the fence as much as leap to the top of the fence to take a look....

One side of my chicken pen shares fence with a horse pasture, so that would be a big of a problem. Will have to think about this one.

I’m no expert but I think most animals that go over fences walk up to them and climb/jump. To clear the 45* angle they would have to leap from farther back.
That’s why an apron works as well. To dig the animal walks up the fence and starts digging. They don’t walk 2’ back and dig.
LOL most animals that jump my 6’ fence are nija’s! They just “hop” right up there. So far the only 4 legged critters it’s kept out are dogs (thank goodness) and deer. Coyotes have not but I honestly wouldn’t put anything past them.

Yep, mine are 7' tall, raccoons have no problem getting on top. Once they get tired of pacing the perimeter to find a way in, they start climbing. Coyotes walk right pass my pens, I guess they figure to hard to get a meal.
