LOL However I really like blue and splash colours and fortunately Australorp has got also blue and splash varieties but at the moment I have only the black one

as to the original post, some hens have more fragile feathers. Bare back chickens bother people more than they do chickens. Watch her, is she distressed or frightened around the rooster, is she hiding? If not, no real need to worry about it.

They will molt in a couple months, and they will all look like that! Then they grow new feathers and look grand!

Well, they are not distressed or frightened around the rooster fortunately. Then I hope they'll molt soon
