Hello! Living in Phoenix, AZ.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, we got our chickens in April 2020

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 5

(3) What breeds do you have? 2 barred rocks, 2 RI Reds and (we think) 1 black maran

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? The eggs are great, but they are also really fun to watch and interact with. I can get my RI Reds to perch on my arm when treats are around.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Theater, movies, bowling, hiking, reading.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We also have 5 rescue dogs (we have a very big yard!) and everyone gets along fine. I work in healthcare management.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? Through Googling answers to questions and to just read what similar experiences with chickens were from other owners.
