I could put him in the little coop, but he can hardly fit through the pop door.

The building.pophole!!! Is that a reference to the bird or the living structure entrance?

He does have it good. But, he's so rotten. He has his own fan and a window in his pen. And he gets chest rubs in the morning and at roost time. No one would know what to do with a spoiled goober. As Ladyhawk would say, this is all Tom's fault! LOL
Yikes, Hector is feeling full of himself. Your husband has been suffering from back problems, perhaps Hector is picking up on that as a weakness. I think I'd be clobbering Hector with my fishing net if he tried that again. No I don't abuse my animals. I would actually scoop him up and scare the pants off him.Well, I never expected this. My husband called up to the window where I was at the computer and said, "I wanted you to know that Hector just flogged me." Oh, crap.
Apparently, he had just let Hector and Thea out. They went out the back roll-up door and Tom went to his hammock, laid across with his legs hanging off touching the ground and closed his eyes. He said he heard "thump-thump-thump-thump" of Hector running across the top of the rock wall and suddenly, his legs were hit hard. He raised up, saw Hector had flogged him and said he kicked him in the face so Hector ran off.
So, now what? He thinks if he had been looking at him, Hector would have stopped before contact. Hector always does this, charges him, but then, he runs up to me, too, acting like a big dope and I just say, "Quit it, Hector, go with your girls", and he does. He is 3 years old and this is the first time he's actually hit either of us. Hector may have just earned his ticket out of here. I may have to test him, just let him come running and brace for impact, act as if I don't see him and see what he does. Rooster entrapment.
