Yes, they still have what I call "pinky baby legs". They become more yellow as they get older. Some lines of BRs have leg color issues, it is true, but Hector and Jill both have nice yellow legs, as do all my other BRs of both lines.

By the way, Miss Lisa, how are you feeling?

Getting better. Today I didn't fall asleep during the day. Hopefully this coming Thursday both staples and drain tubes come out, as I'm sick of both.

I'm slowly doing more as I am no good at doing nothing no matter how much I try to do nothing. I need a daily task list, and everything goes messy around here without my tending to it.

The leg color was interesting to me as I see your adults have the yellow legs, so I wasn't sure when they color up. Interesting stuff.

I know how you feel about trying to keep managing stuff, Lisa. I was trying to be a complete slug when I broke my ankle (well, I had to) and other times I should have let DH handle things. It's hard to let go!

Hector's three today. They will turn 5 weeks old this weekend. The pullet is more camera shy than the boys.

Maybe it's all the exercise running around this place with their mamas. I don't know. These are out of Hector and he's a pretty big guy, always was.

By the way, Jill is still broody, sitting on the floor under the roost, getting pooped on. Good thing she has a saddle on that gets most of it. She will not move her spot.

I call those irritating floor pancakes. I'm tire of broody hens here. I have 3 broodies in the box currently, seems there has been three in the box all summer, just a different three.

Thankfully, Jill just screams. Brandy gripes, but never bites, very sweet girl. Lizzie has been a very sweet broody, surprisingly. But, Bonnie, Brandy's sister, can be a biter, especially when the chicks are moving under her around 17-18 days into it.
