Hedgeapples and Ducks

Is it ok for ducks to eat on hedgeapples? Mine have been snacking on the ones at the edge of the pond...

I had a friend who ate a bite when we were kids, it didn't kill her though we were sure it would!

I don't know about ducks, but other birds eat them and ground squirrels too I think.

It's the "fruit/seed" of the osage orange tree which around here is called a hedge tree.​
