Hedwig the head case! Mental chick!

You are very sweet! I hope the breeder can help you and I like to learn from others so please do update me... ummm I mean us.:love
(Have you tried playing the radio... don't laugh! Sometimes a talk/chat or chilled music station works wonders on animals; providing it is not an underlying health issue).
Good idea with the music! Thanks!

Instead of scrambled eggs, you could try boiled egg yolk. The BOs I have not won't eat scrambled eggs but love boiled eggs. The Wyandottes I had prior loved scrambled eggs, to each his own. Didn't think about the music although I'm thinking she prefers being carried. Hopefully the breeder will be able to shed come light on her "neediness".

You could try to put her in a cardboard box with her nestmate and that feather duster. That would give her company and may help her detach from you, and attach to her brother/sister.
A little bit of forced bonding. Remember she is really young.
I have incubated all of my chickens all of my life, until recently.
I bought 2 little silkies and one of them went broody for me, and she hatched out 4 little babies (barnyard mutt chickens).
The difference in hatching these 2 ways is crazy. The ones that mom hatches were much more 'wild' then the incubated ones, and you can tell they are very attached to mom. If I try to pick one up, then the chick becomes obsessed about getting back to mom. It doesn't appear that its out of fear, it seems more like instinct.

That baby you have, was it incubated, or hatched under a broody mom. If it were hatched under a broody mom, then I understand. That's why I recommended the small box, to make it socialize.

Thanks..she was really good yesterday. When she did cry it was softer, less loud and not as frequent. She seems to be a bit more social. She's still the runt but I'm hoping she's getting better. Unfortunately the feather duster I ordered on Amazon was an iPhone X Otter case when it arrived! Boy did they get that wrong!

That's funny,Amazon messed up my last order. I ordered a squirrel trap for relocating it. It arrived damaged I couldn't find my order under my account. I called them they claimed it wasn't ordered by me. It was ordered by someone else and paid for with a gift card. So I ended up getting it free? Kinda confusing, well I relocated the squirrel.
