Hedwig's first egg!

So, Hedwig, my splash and only Ameraucana (her sister, gorgeous blue Azula, was sold a few months ago as she was quite mean..) laid her first egg at 6 months of age! She seems confused by the whole process, laid it on the floor of the coop after checking out the nest boxes all morning. She will figure it out eventually. Her egg is a pretty shade of blue, though was hoping for a bit bluer color. Does not matter, she is awesome and so friendly now, where before she was quite skittish!☺

Well, no one was laying here either out of 11 chickens, now suddenly this week 3 are laying!
They all will eventually. ☺

Beautiful egg. I’m hoping to get that color from me EEs, I’ve got my fingers crossed for blue or green eggs!

She is a beautiful chicken to! she fits her name very well! (Hedwig is the snowy owl from Harry Potter right?)
