Heeeeeeeelp!!!!! Potential power cut on whilst the chicks are hatcing!

Even though i have another thread "[chickens] First external pip and now with low humidity " about my hatch i have another problem

We may have a power cut (outage) for up to 3 hours due to a tree being cut .....?

What do i do ?

Can i use a heat lamp if its longer than 3 hours

That’s what I’d do.... the humidity needs to stay high or the membrane will dry. I’ll tag some people.... @Eggcessive @sourland yeah idk who else to tag

Well its a limb from a tree, so I may be ok.. atm the humidity has doped to 54%. Am tempted to pour some water though the air hole lol.

Theres only the first crack on three of the eggs, so i don't want to open it right now .

Cool I have one of those! Just set some eggs yesterday for my first time. I think they should be fine..., unless the humidity gets too too low... only time will tell at this point.

got a mini funnel and a super thin straw and fed warm water in that way .. so I'm back up to 60% .. It took a lot of water so i'm just leaving it at 60%

I have one of those too. Wrap it in a big blanket, leave the air hole open though. Can you plug it in to your car with an inverter thing, or can you drive to a gas station and plug it in?

The electric is ok, they only cut a part of the tree .. sooo fingers crossed..

Four have now externally pipped. All four are at single hole status..
