i was changing their water and noticed almost all my quails have these black lumps on their feet, i dont know what they are, i dipped their feet in silver water and salt water today and i hope that will help them, please help me identify what this problem is... I also need a working solution for this.

WOW...you must have something on the cage bottom that is hurting their feet? SHarp wire? Can then get into a pan of dirt and dust and rest? My quail are on and I have not ever had bumble foot in them. THe chickens get it occasionally and the surgery isnt hard on them...hey, maybe you just need to eat these?

i did some research and its bumblefoot, the wire is really good and no sharp. could bumblefoot come from chickens? because i have 10 chickens and the chickens sleep about 3-5 feet away from the quails

I don't think bumblefoot is contagious from one species to the other like, say, a cold for example. The bacteria exists in the housing and affects the feet when there is some kind of abrasion of the foot. I've also heard a deficiency in vitamin A can contribute to bumblefoot.

Bumblefoot...Get your quails off the wire now! Their feet are not liking it. Put them on something more natural and softer like wood shavings of I sometimes use shredded paper (though it is not very absorbent). Change frequently to avoid infections.

Some suggest surgery but I have never done it myself.

When I cage my birds I put them on peat moss. Sunshine Peat Moss, professional grower bale, select canadian sphagnum. I think of it like kitty litter. The birds seem very happy with it. Change it weekly to avoid mold.

Yeah, some birds do get bumblefoot from being on wire. And no, it is not contagious. You need to get them onto some soft bedding. The infections could kill them. Unlike chickens where you can do surgery on their pads, that is really quite difficult with quail. And using antibiotics in the water is fairly useless as well in this case. So all you can do is put them on a soft surface for a while and hope for the best. Any topical meds won't remove the puss ball in there either.

Alkaline water, Colloidal Silver, Food grade hydrogen peroxide, apple cider vinegar. If all of this is in their water in proper concentrations their feet will clear up and anything else. You will also see a drop in feed consumption and water use.

Or maybe your stocking them more than one per foot because that seems to be what some people like to blame everything on :+)
