Our quail love being in a Quail Tractor on grass. We build quail tractors. Selling the one in my avatar now. Got a new design we are building for a few customers. Anyways get all your birds on grass and move them daily. Keep them happy. My quail on grass lay eggs that average over 12g and some are close to 20g.

Today I took a good look at my quail and out of over 50 birds only one had a swollen foot. Mine are on wire with a pan of dirt and wood boards to get them someplace else to stand. I caught the one with the swollen foot, peeled off the scab and pressed the "kernel" of infection right out! Then I put some cornstarch on and applied pressure. Withing 4 minutes he was back in the cage...cant even tell which one it was now!

I like the idea of a quail tractor too! Might have to make one. Care to explaing your water cocktail in a little bit more detail? I would be interested.
