Thank you Chippysmom327, I just need to move on and not fret over it.
But I wanna learn what possibly I did so I don't repeat it.
Well one thing I learned is what you said: ~paraphrased~ don't expect anything and then be happy when the good happens.
I raise dairy goats and there was a lot to learn for them, especially the delivery of kids. So I just assumed that hatching chicks under a hen would be super easy in comparison.
Now I appreciate the hard work chicken breeders do!!
