(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I grew up with chickens, but as an adult, we started our own flock in May 2022.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5 laying hens and 15 chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
Hens- Sapphire Gem, Easter Egger, Buff Orpington, Barred Rock, Blue Lace Gold Wyandotte
Chicks- Black Copper Marans, Olive Eggers, Cream Legbars, Speckled Sussex, Buff Brahma, Light Brahma, Dark Brahma
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I freaking love everything about Chickens, besides how much they poop…
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Anything with nature
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 2 boys (3 &5), 1 dog, and a Husband. Stay at home mom.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
