Hellooo all! Not nececisarily new to backyard chickens but it has been quite a few years since we have had a flock! I currently have 5 RIR,5 smokey pearl, and 4 Leghorn babies. Unfortunately I beileve that 3/4 of my leghorns are roosters and we cant keep them in the city limits of my town :(
One of my favorite things about getting backyard chickens again is my son is old enough that he is getting to learn some responisibily by helping change out water and food everyday with me and seeing what its like to take care of an animal and watch them grow,he cant wait to collect eggs as thats a hobby he really enjoys out at his papas house! Cant wait to get all the tips tricks and advice!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.

If you purchased pullet LH chicks, don't lose hope just yet. They develop very large combs and many are thought to be males but are indeed females. If you'd like, feel free to post pictures of each individual bird of your LHs for our opinions on their genders.
