I am new to backyard chickens. We live in Georgia and Tuesday got 3 "red pullets" and 3 "assorted" pullets. I would have loved to get some buff orpingtons, but the TSC did not have any. I am LOVING this website and looking forward to making some new friends.

I do have one question, the 3 "assorted" all look the same.... but we have no idea what they could be. They are two weeks old and yellow. They have some wing feathers and a little tuft on the tail. I know it is a shot in the dark but any ideas of what they could be. When I called TSC they said bantams, but when I looked up pics of bantam chicks, they have black in them and mine do not. I will post pictures in a little bit.

Bring on all the advice you have folks, I am ready to love on these lovely ladies!

Congratulations on getting new chicks! You're going to have a great experience with them. :weee

as for determining the breed, post a picture so we can help you identify what you've got. It is a little hard without a pic!
Although you could try posting in What breed or gender is this, and who knows, someone might be able to help you off just the description. :p

Welcome and watch out for them Gators in Georgia. If you need help with the Gators let me know they are mmmm mmmm good lol
