Hello! We are fairly new to having chickens. A client of my husband's gave us a Buff Orpington in the spring of 2019 and my 2 yr old loved her! He named her Big Chicken. Lol So we had to build her a house, and get her some friends. Lol After getting rid of the rooster that wouldn't stop going after the kids, we now we have 8 hens and 1 drake (I think a racoon got our Female duck a couple weeks ago).
We are planning on getting some more ducks asap then possibly housing the ducks and chickens together again. And letting them all free range again. We have lots of kids in our family and I love that they enjoy the chickens.
A friend told me about BYC years ago. I followed the groups on fb. But recently got rid of fb, so I figured it was time to join. I'm here to learn more and talk to ppl with common interests. :)
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.
