Hello! Again!

Good Morning,

This is my second time starting over with my chickens. I couldn't get into my old account I am super excited to be back!! I currently have a small chick flock consisting of:

3 - Ameraucana
1 - Jersy Giant
2 - Golden Lace Wyandottes
1 - Plymouth Barred Rock
1 - Sex Link

They are only a few weeks old. We are completing our coop in a back section of our 60x40 out building. It has heated floors for the winter and will have a large run connected on the outside. I'm thinking sand for the run. We have 5 acres and not many neighbors. Lots of creatures outside though Predator proof is my main focus for all of it. Glad to be back and dig for lots of advice!!

Good morning, and welcome back to BYC and poultry keeping. When all else fails a covered pen surrounded by hotwire generally keeps the predators at bay. Good luck with your new flock.
