I like this introduction idea! I'll just answer the questions as per the template.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My first chickens were a mix of day old layers and multipurpose three years ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Yesterday morning, I had 32. Four were killed late morning by a red squirrel.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Americauna, Wyandotte and brown layers.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The daily eggs, entertainment and benefits of manure.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, gardening and more gardening!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live in a cold climate (Northern Ontario).
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Spent a lot of time on this site for two years before deciding on raising chickens.
