Hello All! From a city farming chicken/turkey lover!

Hello All!!
I'm Catherine in Oklahoma City with a 7.5 acred tree covered little farm!
I'm in the process of converting our big red barn into a giant chicken coop!
Thankfully, our city allows for a crazy number of chickens in my unplatted area!!

I have 4 standard bronze turkeys, 7 Buff Orpingtons & 7 Ameraucanas who appear to have been cross breed with orpingtons & barred rocks. But!
We love them anyway!!!

Our flock is now 6.5 weeks old and will follow about the yard while we project.
I spent weeks before we picked up our chicks reading about care, parasites, diet, and all the things that can go wrong.
Most of the information had been provided from links that brought me to this message board.
I appreciated the personal accounts as well as supplemental articles for options on sickness & predators.

I appreciate the knowledge and hope to find local sources for additional breeds of chickens & more Bronze Turkeys!! As our flock expands!
We will use the eggs but our girls are the bug and love crew!❤
It's nice to know we may enjoy their antics for a possible decade!!!

I look forward to learning more!!
