Hi everyone ! Hope all are having a great day. My name is Jaime and I just hatched my first chick about 2 hours ago. I am married to a very loving and understanding husband. I have 2 beautiful children that are my heart and soul. A very good friend of mine said that I should join this wonderful friendly and very helpful group of people. I am very excited to be apart of this great group .

I have been on here for almost a year and have found very helpful folks. My research over this year has included owning and reading 16 books (yes I did buy the Backyard Chickens for Dummies book!), a DVD, 5 classes, and joined a local chicken yahoo group--1,000 members strong. The local chicken group is not only helpful, it is so much fun--they even threw me a "chick shower!" I have found that any research done on the Internet has often led me back to this forum so I reckon its THE place to be! Welcome!
 
hey everyone. thank you so much for the warm welcome. you are all so wonderful. so far i have 7 moving and shaking. Little max is coming out now. this is such a super feeling to see them come into the world. i have always wanted to raise chickens and finally i have begun my journey. the kids love it and so do i. my hubby who thought i was nuts is getting a kick out of it. i will fill all of you in later but so far my first set are doing great. i do have to say i am proud of myself lol.




my family includes ... 2 wonderful kids, a very loving and understanding,giving husband, 5 dogs, 3 turtles, 3 lizards, 3 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs and 2 rescued kittens that just tonight fell into my lap. i need lots of land lol
