Green Bank is in Pocahontas County! We live about 1/4 mile from the NRAO, where they listen to outer space! It's called "the quiet zone", no cell phones. Also no walmarts, mcdonalds & so-on!! Very beautiful here! Unincorporated & somewhat remote, just how we like it!

We are 15 miles from Snowshoe Resort, if that helps!! 5 miles from Cass Railroad!

OH!!! I have always wanted to go to the NRAO!! The Beckley paper did an article on it maybe 3 years ago. Ever since I saw that article I have wanted to visit that area. I love anything to do with Space. I wanted to be an astronaut when I was a kid....was on track too until my vision got so bad. That dashed that dream!!

So now I just go out back and lay on my deck and look at the stars. I love watching the meteor showers. My DD thought I was nuts the first time she walked out the back door and saw me laying flat out on the deck. No chair or anything. She laid down and started watching the meteor shower and loved it.

I bet it's beautiful where you are!!!

hey Friend, How does the Wolfdogs do with all the other animals? just wondering, we're getting ready to get chickens, then goats & maybe some ducks! We have a Wolfdog & a Sibe!!
