hello all my fowl friends :)

this is what i have found recently

It is unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation owning or having possession of any domestic or wild animal (excluding dogs and cats), reptile, cattle, horse, mule, goat, sheep, swine, or any fowl to permit the same to run or go upon the public or private premises of any other person, firm, or corporation; or upon any park or public street or highway within the City. (Ord. 021-07 C.S. § 2; prior code § 7-131.1)

It is unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to keep any domestic or wild animal (excluding dogs, cats and other household pets), reptile, apiary, or fowl, within the City except where permitted within a particular zone or district as provided in the Development Code of the City. (Ord. 021-07 C.S. § 2; prior code § 7-131)

i have no idea how to check what zone i'm in but since they sent me a letter saying its not allowed i guess i'm not in the lucky part. also on the note, which my husband tore up because he seen my eyes swell up with tears, it said nothing about how much time we have... i wonder if we'll be able to keep them unless someone actually complains

@Amiga the most wonderful thing happend today, my little brother (who is 11) talked my dad into adopting my ducks :) he did this all on his own. I feel so blessed to have a strong supportive family. they live in a nice country house about 10 minutes away from me and already have a Rouen duck (that they've had for years now )I am so happy they are going to be safe and I will be able to see them everyday. thank you so much for your kindness my heart was wrenching at the thought of having to give them away and not knowing if they'd be alright or become dinner or never being able to see them again
