So glad you could join our community! I'm sorry for the loss of several of your hens. It is always hard to lose beloved chickens to predators or sickness.

I hope your remaining hens bring you much enjoyment and many eggs. Golden Sex-Links and Buff Orpingtons are two lovely breeds with reputations for good egg production and gentle temperaments.

Sorry for your losses. Maybe your flock would be safer in an enclosed run with a top, at least until the coyotes move on. Once they have an easy meal, they will keep coming back till nothing is left. Can your use electrified fencing to drive them away?
