Hello all!

I am Sam and i hail from sunny brisbane in Australia!

Ive kept chickens back when i was younger but had to give it all up after moving to the city.. So now that im back out in the sticks, its time to get my chook on!

Im in the process of acquiring some ex-battery hens to live out their life with me (and hopefully they wont do TOO much damage to the vegie patch ). I have 2 cortunix quails currently and room for many many more!

I also have a budgie and 4 cockatiels to keep me busy.

I look forward to having some nice chats as you all seem pretty down to earth and caring about your livestock!

Ex battery hens are lovely. They are so sweet and make wonderful pets, but I won't trust them with the veggie garden if I were you!
