My name is Alex! I am from Montgomery, AL and I am fairly new to chicken keeping, but totally feeling the addiction to it! I have 6 Buff Orpington pullets that are around 6 months old now--I have had them for about a month or so! We have been getting eggs off one hen for roughly 2 weeks! A second hen started to lay about two days ago! I am loving them so much! Who knew chickens would bring so much joy?

Nice to hear you've discovered the joys of chickens! I think a lot of people are surprised by how much they come to care about their birds. They sure are interesting, fun little things. Congrats on getting eggs!
