I am all new to owning chickens and new to BYC. We live in north Texas and just started with 3 chickens on our first small flock. We have a Barred Plymouth Rock, Black Sex-Link and a White Leghorn. They are only about 12 weeks and we obviously don't have any eggs yet, but we are excited to have some soon.

Welcome to BYC!

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us.

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224

Welcome!

You have some lovely looking birds there.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Thank you Teila, I think my facebook friends are tired of pictures and stories about my chickens that I am so enthusiastic about.

You don't need that kind of negativity in your life........so glad you've found your way here where we will gladly talk chicken all day (and night) long.

You will always have someone willing to hear about your chickens and someone to crow over your pictures and to cry with you and to laugh with you when you share them on BYC.
