Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

2 months old is a bit young to put in with adults. They need to grow another month yet.

You can't slip them onto the roost bar at night, adult birds are too smart for this. They know each and every member of the flock. You can't throw new birds into a flock without possible death of newbies.

What I do is keep babies in an inclosure in the run and coop at all times for several weeks. Let everyone meet each other from behind wire. 2 or 3 weeks later you can mix babies in. There will be pecking order pecking, but it shouldn't be too bad. Put out a couple more food and water stations as adults will guard and starve out new birds from one station. Everything will calm down over a few months time.

Good luck and welcome to the group! :)

Hello :frow welome to BYC!! I myself have had some issues integrating. I dont know if you have free time during the daylight, but i do supervised visits allowing all to roam in my yard where the current flock isnt normally allowed until i feel they have become well acquainted. I carry a stick (long) to prod away attacks and stay near the younglings until i feel safe. When you feel they are comfortably acquainted then try putting them in at night. It's always a risk. If you have the time to be up early ( my roo is up at 430 these days) try to make it out there before to prevent injury to the babies.

G’Day from down under Thecrossingchicks :frow Welcome!

I too am an advocate for the 'look no touch' integration method. I do keep a water pistol on hand when they are free ranging initially ... a shot across the beak of someone looking to make trouble often changes their mind :p

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Best wishes for a bright and cheerful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
