My Coop
I got my first chicks in the spring of 2018 - a dominique, olive egger, and frost white legbar. Unfortunately the legbar went to the coop in the sky so I got another batch of chicks this fall to make sure the coop doesn't get too lonely. I knew I'd like having chickens but have been amazed by how much fun they are (and how relaxing it is to go down and "commune with the chickens"). The newest additions are a mille fleur, an easter egger, a mottled cochin bantam, and a salmon faverolle. I scoffed but chicken math is SO real.

I've been lurking on this site since my first chickens but finally decided to join. I'm in Portland but actually don't know many others with poultry. I just want one of everything!

Hi there, fellow Oregonian!!! :celebrate

So glad you joined... I did a lot of lurking before I actually joined, too! Love having chickens-- they're so amazing. Maybe even therapeutic.

And yes, chicken math is a real thing. If I had enough space I would definitely have one of everything, along with every other farm animal.

Good luck with your new flock!
