Thank you for letting me join your group. After many years of wanting chickens, my husband and I finally bit the bullet and got six day-old chicks a few weeks ago - three barred rock and three buff orpingtons. I've been lurking here reading a lot of the advice that you all so generously give and it's been very helpful, so I decided to join. We have a lot of experience with geese and ducks, but chickens are new to us. I love them already and can't wait until they are grown up and out in the barnyard doing their chicken thing.
