(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens, I currently don't have any but I'm looking to get some so I am educating myself as I think that is most fair to all parties involved especially the chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Currently none, but thinking to start with 3 or 4?
(3) What breeds do you have?
I want a silkie, easter Egger, lavender orpington, lavender Ameraucana, silver laced wyandotte.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Having my own eggs and just having more babies to love.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Rescuing animals, drawing, painting, writing.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I've got a husband, 2 young children, a cat, soon hopefully dogs and some chickens... I'd love a small operational homestead. So that is my goal.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
