I am new to the forum and new to chickens! After telling my daughter no for 3 years, we finally relented and gave in, after she proved she could get up and take care of our neighbors flock for a week, 100% on her own. That and the fact she’s an animal lover period, and an honor roll student too. How could we say no any longer? Fortunately, my husband grew up raising chickens and goats, so I gave some help. His family however raised them as food, I am raising mine as pets. I look forward to learning here!
