For 3 years now I have a mixed flock of Orpingtons and Brahma's. Last year we had pullets for the first time. I spend some quite time on this forum reading about recognising roo's. And it turned out 4 of our 6 pullets were roo's.
At this moment we have 6 hens and one rooster. We have 2 Buff Orpington and 2 gold black laced Orpingtons, a buff Columbian Brahma and a Columbian Brahma.
Our rooster is a big beautifull Brahma, looks Gold Birchen or perhaps black laced golden, or more likely a nice mix of different colours.
Comming spring we would love to have some pullets of our own Brahma and hopefulle get some more information about his genetics this way. I love reading the "guess the breed/colour/sex" threads and hope to be able to join in on these discussions!
