Hi everyone! My husband and I have been stalking this site for a while using other threads to help us with our birds, and I figured it was time we just join the community proper 
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are new to chickens together, yes. I had a small flock a few years ago but then had to rehome them when i divorced my ex. My hubs and I were able to finally build a house so now we have a flock together!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We currently have 20; 19 hens and a single rooster.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Oh gosh. Here we go;
- Lavender Orp (roo)
- 2 swedish flower hens
- 3 Australorps
- 1 Golden and 1 Silver Laced wyandotte
- 1 copper maran
- 1 ancona
- 2 rhode island reds
- 1 double laced barnvelder
- 2 green queen olive eggers
- 2 reg EE and 2 frizzled EE
- 1 Ameribella
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I adore birds in general -- little dinosaurs! But beyond that, I love the bond I have with them.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My husband and I are gamers. I also enjoy reading.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are expecting our first baby, a littlw girl, in November, but other than that it's just us. We have 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 guinea pigs -- besides the 20 chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
We have been stalking this forum for a long time but have never joined. Figured it was time!
