Hey!
I have been coming to read these forums as an outsider for a while now and I am happy to now join the conversation!
We have been raising our 7 chickens and 4 ducks that we got as chicks for a little over a year now. We just hatched our own chicks and ducklings about a month ago and that has been an exciting and rewarding process: adding another 4 Rhode Island Red / Salmon Faverolles chicks and 2 Magpie / Cayuga ducklings to our flock.
I'll say that it is hard to get anything done when the chicken TV turns on. We have been renovating our (new to us) home and I believe that all of our outdoor improvements are for our chickens and ducks haha. We joke that our chicken coop is better built than our house!
Looking forward to learning along with the rest of you.
Walter
