Hello to everyone. I am new to this and am having a great time so far. I have my chicks and am building my coop and run. I have 2 Silver Laced Wyandotte’s, 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Partridge Rocks, 2 Buff Orprington’s and 1 Gold Laced Wyandotte. Chicks are 4 weeks old now and I am just ammazed at how fun they are to have around. I can sit there and watch them for hours at a time playing in their run. I am located in SW Ohio is there anyone else in this area?

I'm from Ohio too, but closer to Northeastern Ohio. Sounds like you picked some beautiful breeds! I've got three GLW (two hens and a roo), and they are gorgous! I've also got two buff orps and a barred rock--beautiful chickens....

They are so much fun! I probably researched chickens for almost 3 years before I actually got some...glad to hear you're enjoying them.

Hey, you might be close to Troy Ohio, and there is an animal swap meet this weekend there...supposed to be huge! They have poultry too.....might be something fun to go to. Just google Troy Ohio Swap Meet, and you will see the info on it.
