Hi Brady here I live in Dallas and just last year got in to the chicken thing. My kids school incubated some eggs as a learning tool and asked if we wanted the baby's. I being the animal lover I am said sure. The rest is history as they say lol. Our first 5 chickens were born last year two at my house over the weekend and the other 3 at someone else's house. I was hooked from that moment on I have sinc incubated 7 more eggs and had 7 more chicks the youngest of which was born this valentines day. We bought 4 more chikens from a flea market and then I ordered emus they arrived last week. And are so much fun. My mom lives about an hr out of Dallas on land so we moved the emus and some of the chikens out their as the city of Dallas isn't big on roosters and such. We were out their picking up supplies at the factor supply and ended up with 2 ducks lol. So for those of u keeping count all in all we have 11 chikens 4 roosters 4 emu and 2 ducks not to mention the 3 dogs a cat a ferrit and a turtle lol. My house is slowly becoming a zoo. Any how that's my into just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the great info I've found so far.
