I'm Califia, a.k.a. Cali
I have been around chickens off and on my whole life. Started raising my own last year, around March. Mostly from local feed stores and TSC.
Ordered a bunch from Murray McMurray hatchery to arrive in March and had no issues.
But the order from Meyer hatchery was a problem. I'll be reading about symptoms of diseases, scared that I inadvertently brought a disease in with these chicks.

I'll probably post my questions later in a new thread!!

I will also list out all my chickens and pullets later, it's supposed to be sleep time. 1:30 am here. Hehehe.

Hi Cali, if you have concerns about the condition of your Meyer chicks - you could post in detail at "emergencies, diseases, injuries and cures," thread. Are they kept separately from your McMurray chicks?

You could share your worries with us also, maybe it's a common problem that could be easily remedied. Have you discussed with someone from Meyer, to get their take on it?

Welcome to BYC, Cali! Sorry to hear you had problems with your Meyer Hatchery chicks. I've ordered from four different hatcheries over the years, but never from Meyer. I have ordered from Murray McMurray and have always been satisfied with their service and chicks. I'm looking forward to seeing your list of chicken breeds. Hope you got a good night's sleep.
