Congrats on your country set up! That's great. Welcome to BYC.

I hope I'm not overstepping, but if I was you I would consider a different breed of duck. Breeds like Welsh Harlequin and Khaki Campbells (there is a white variety) are much better layers, are smaller so eat less, and are not so clumsy so they won't do as much damage in a garden. Plus they're more active and better at snapping up lots of bugs. Just an idea.
