1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Started with chickens 5 years ago, I’ve always wanted them since I was a child and always knew that one day I would love having my own flock, no matter how many people tried to discourage me (you’d be amazed how many... or maybe you wouldn’t)
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? At the moment I have 35
(3) What breeds do you have? I have RIRs, Buff Orpingtons, australorp, Wht Leghorns, ameraucana, Brahma, 55 Flowery Hen, Silver Birchen Marans, CCLB, EE, OE, BSLW, Blck Cochins, Polish, Silkies, bantam Silver Americauna, bantam Silver Duck Wing OEGH
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I love breeding, hatching, and just watching my chickens
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
kayaking, hiking, cooking, painting/drawing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. my kids are in there 20s, one in college the other graduated, so it’s just me,my boyfriend and our chickens now.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
. I’ve looked up information on the sight for years and had initiated a request to join about three years ago but never finished. So now, here I am.
