Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

Identification purposes maybe?  I had some Texas A&M Coturnix quail this spring and I used tiny colored zip ties as leg bands on the males so I wouldn't have to catch them and check to see who was who. 
we name them and some of them look a like down to the color of their legs. Lol and my kids trying to train them. And they only come when they see me. Lol
 
Random OEGB thought, there are currently 40+ varieties of Old English Game Bantam and probably more that I'm not aware of, and yet I have never even heard about Partridge or Silver Pencilled, that just struck me as odd.

Silver penciled I think is close to the silver duckwing pattern.
