Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

Don't lavs typically run a bit smaller anyway? Something to do with the same genetic complex that can also cause thinner feathers? Anyway, they are soooo cute! The little lav looks like it already has the stink eye down pat in preparation for intimidating its bigger siblings

My bad. When I first looked the lav looked smaller. Now I see the little guy on the right is smallest. Still, the lav looks full of itself. My lav Dutch bantams are very 'tudiful.

I've got baby fever too. I took home 14 chicks from the science fair at school.

They are all LF layers, but hey, spring is here, and I NEEDED some chicks.

My OEGB ladies are old enough, but I don't think my roosters are old enough to do their thing well. They are only 4 months old. I'd love to breed them, but I'm thinking they need to be a little older??

Input requested?

Yes, I'd say that your little man needs to be older. I have a Fawn Duckwing. He is between 6 and 8 months old. He just now got it right and I have fertilized eggs. Give him a little longer.
