Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

Two best books are the APA Standard of Perfection, an old used one will do just fine. And a book by Fred Jeffery called Old English Game Bantams as Bred in the United States (pretty sure that's correct title, search Fred Jeffery Old English Game)

If you need help locating stock let me know, I have quite a few OEGB contacts still, especially in the NW.

Edit: they are wonderful for kids, make great showmanship birds for 4-H

Stromberg's has the Fred Jeffery book for $19.50.

Still a small chance with next molt the pullets develop barring but I doubt it. You can of course breed Crele to BBR and get Crele. I have known breeders to do that when they started losing color in the Crele.

Great info, thanks! I am looking locally for some crele oegb pullets, but if I dont find any I will go with the bbr's.

Hi. I need some help. I bought three bantam babies from tsc this year. They are now almost six weeks old and I'm hoping you guys could help me know for certain if they are splash oegb. Someone had suggested this as a possibility when I posted on a new thread asking for help with I.D... If this is the place to ask for help I will post some pictures of them here. If not please visit my post called my first chicks and look through the stages of pictures I have of them there. Thank you much!
